Mrs. Claus
Hello!
I am so happy you have stopped by to visit Mrs. Claus!
What do you think of when you think of Mrs. Claus? Do you have an image that you automatically see? Is your vision from cartoons, movies or stories?
Many children and adults picture a beautiful lady with white 'Gibson Girl' styled hair and a Victorian red velvet dress. Her dress is adorned with white fur to match Santa's jolly costume. She has a beautiful hand stitched needlepoint apron and ribbon with a look of Bavaria that only Mrs. Claus would have!
Mrs. Claus vintage represents this image and what it means to be all that is motherly. She loves children and does everything possible to help Santa. She loves to bake cookies and be creative. She also loves reading books and helping children learn about Christmas. Reindeer, elves and traditional stories are on the top of her list to share with children and adults.
What do you think? Is this what you pictured in your mind? If so, you have found the right Mrs. Claus!
Mrs. Claus is available to join you for parties, special events, home visits, parades and much more!
Background on Mrs. Claus
My name is Shawn White. I have four children but have felt like a mom to many!
I have a Bachelors Degree from Spring Arbor College. My career was spent working in the court system and as a counselor helping people. I have been elected twice as a school board member and served as President for half of the time during my terms. I am currently on the Advisory Committee for my local airport and the Zoning Appeals Boards for both my township and local airport. Encouraging young pilots has been an incentive for working with the airport.
My personal day to day contribution at the school was helping children read, working with (and acting in) the musical program and helping guide the school district. For ten years, I have enjoyed helping hundreds of children of all ages prepare and perform on stage. All performances were at the local college and involved the professional staff of the college theater program. I learned as much as the children during those years!
Because of my involvement with the Chamber of Commerce, I was asked a few years ago to perform as Mrs. Claus. I fell in love with this new found way to interact with children. I have since been hired to appear at parties and work with different Santas across the state. When I decided to pursue being Mrs. Claus, I began finding sources to help become the best I could be. This includes attending and graduating from Charles W. Howard's Santa Claus School in Midland, Michigan, established in 1937. I am also a member of the Michigan Association of Professional Santas, est. 2009. Education is always important even for Mrs. Claus!
